Issue 22 features a Classic Carlectables diecast model of the 1/18 scale 1974 ATTC winning Holden XU-1 LJ Torana driven by Peter Brock on the front cover. For lovers of Australian racer cars, Issue 22 also includes an in-depth review of the diecast model car produced by Classic Carlectables in 1/18 scale of the 2011 Townsville 400 “Camo” liveried Holden VEII Commodore driven by Craig Lowndes.
But that is just the start. There is a pictorial wrap-up of the 2012 International Toy Fair held in Germany earlier this year, which captures many of the fantastic diecast model cars we can expect to be released later this year. Also, the results of the 2011 Readers Choice Awards are reviewed and the results and models are announced within Issue 22 of The Diecast Magazine.

We also take a road test of the resin replica produced, 1/43 scale Trax Select Series 1958 Ford Customline Star Model Trax. For movie themed collectors there is the 1/18 scale diecast model of the Hot Wheels Elite Ghostbusters ECTO-1. Continuing the movie theme, but on a different tangent, we have a special article by Jason Campbell titled “Star Wars - The Motoring Racing Wars” which lists a long list of diecast model cars featuring Star Wars liveries as part of their race day graphics.
