If you collect model cars, model aircraft or any models produced in resin, die cast, die-cast, or diecast. The Diecast Magazine has you covered.
With that said, I also would like to wish everyone a very happy holiday season.
As pictured on the front cover, we take a look back at some unique US racing heritage that Truescale Miniatures has recently crystallised in 1/18 scale diecast metal, in the form of the Lotus 56 Turbine driven at the 1968 Indianapolis 500 by Graham Hill. The story of this “Indy Innovator” is told in the model replica review of another Truescale Miniatures collectable release scheduled for early 2013.
In Issue 25 of The Diecast Magazine, we also take some time out with Truescale’s Managing Director Glen Chou during the Germany Toy Fair earlier in 2012. Glen provides an intriguing insight into the philosophy and the models this young brand produces. There is also the results of the 2012 Diecast Zone wish list, not to mention an in-depth editorial from new recruit Doug Kelly, that looks back to where it all began for Formula One diecast collectors.
Of course, there is always plenty of diecast news and reviews in each and every issue of The Diecast Magazine and this issue also features some of the best makers of model cars in the world, such as Automodello, AutoWorld, Hot Wheels-Elite, Minichamps, Revival International, Spark, Sun Star, all in a variety of scales, and so much more.
We also couldn’t pass up including an editorial feature about the 1:18 scale Alfa Romeo Stradale produced by AUTOart, or for 1/43 scale collectors, the 50th Anniversary Valiant R and S Series twin set produced by Trax. For something different, take a look at the lifelike pictorial from Felix of a 1:18 scale Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing. Whatever your collecting preference, we have something for you here at The Diecast Magazine.
Issue 18 packs a punch with more than 165 models pictured and just as much to read about in this issue of The Diecast Magazine, and there is certainly plenty to keep your diecast model beast within satisfied and informed during the holiday season.
As always, in each and every issue of The Diecast Magazine, Shop Talk has you covered with all of the latest news and new releases from around the world. Collectors have their say in the Readers Page and share their collections with all of us in the Collectors Post. Needless to say, Issue 18 of The Diecast Magazine is simply brilliant and has the diecast X factor by being the best die cast collector magazine for serious model collectors.
Issue 18 is available now at select die cast model dealers throughout North America, as well as Barnes and Noble bookstores, and select, Hastings, Waldenbooks stores, and Indigo bookstores throughout Canada.
